In the first semi final, Bedford defeated Cape Breton 4 - 2 to advance to the championship final. Still the Hurricanes players are hard to impress and although the first 12 minutes would find the Hurricanes killing off two penalties they would strike first with Morgan Messenger (Benight) firing in the only goal of the first. Great job by the entire group. Strangely in practice earlier in the week it seemed the penalty kill would be the better specialty team of the two but early in the second once again the Hurricane power play would strike this time Alex Nauss (Mann, Jollimore).
